Radiology gets its own module, from the doctor's order to the released report
A radiology order written on the prescription pad arrives at the radiology counter as work, comes back as a coded report on your own letterhead, and never needs the patient's details typed a second time.
What shipped
- The doctor's request and the registered order are two different things, so a request waits in the radiology counter's incoming queue until someone registers it, and a walk-in can be registered with no prior request at all
- The modality is the department: x-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI each carry their own worklist, machine and turnaround time, with no second department list to keep in step
- Left, right and bilateral are three separately coded procedures in the catalog, so the side that was imaged is carried by the code itself rather than by a tickbox beside it
- Reports are narrative — findings and impression — started from your own per-procedure template and held as an editable draft until the sign-off trail releases them
- Radiology carries its own rate cards for cash, insurance, corporate, emergency and portable work, and the price is stamped onto the order as it is raised
- A released report prints on your own letterhead under your print settings and publishes as FHIR, with the referring doctor it goes back to recorded on the order
